Cosm Selat was established to fill a specific gap: sophisticated Australian legal and financial advisory, delivered by someone who genuinely understands how Southeast Asian families and institutions approach capital, risk and decision-making.

Brendan Lyle founded and listed Impact Capital Limited on the Australian Securities Exchange, securing cornerstone investment from two of Australia’s most prominent private families and establishing wholesale debt facilities exceeding $100 million with Société Générale and major domestic banks.

He subsequently served as Chief Executive of a private equity-backed business in New York, growing its institutional funding platform from $5 million to over $275 million, before returning to Brisbane to lead Cosm.

He speaks Indonesian and Malay fluently, holds a post-graduate degree in Languages from Griffith University, and maintains relationships across Australian government, financial institutions and professional networks developed over two decades of senior practice.
